Vishal Bhadani Talk with author - 18th jan

On 18th January,
Department of English had organised talk with author- Mr. Vishal Bhadani. (વિશાલ ભાદાણી)
Students have participated in large number.

He is working as a translator. He have talk with us to build interest in translation field. Literature student can be a good content writer and translate in various field and companies. "Gujarat Express" is also known for very good translations.

Writer and literature lovers love to translate because a good work which is not possible to connect people in case of language. so translation of works make a step forward for readers, so they can read translations.

He have told that Pro. Kathiawadi is first person who translated Shakespeare in bhavnagar 1852.

a new word Cauterize- ડામ દેવો

Sentence-

He have given small activity;
A sentence in English that we have to translate in native language:

His translation:
- असली मजा सबके  साथ आता है | 
- ગમતાનો કરીએ  ગુલાલ.

My translation- mother is mother બાકી  બધું other.

ફરે  તે  ચરે અને બાંધ્યો  ભૂખે  મરે  .

Translation of him- A man on the moves has his belly full and a still one starves to death.


For variation he have shown us a Two Ads. First one is in Hindi and second is same but translated in English language.
Ad is Gujarat tourism of Twelve shrine of Mahadev by Amitabh bachhan.
By this he have told that observe the words used and how translation can be removed the beauty and essence of language.


At the end of session he have read his short stories from his book "ફિકશનાલય". He read his unpublished short story named "કે મેરા માં કેદ થતી આત્મા".
