YUGPURUSH- MAHATMA NA MAHATMA PLAY

 
                                      ON 5TH AUGUST 2017, Our English Department organised to watch a play at Yashvantray natrya gruh in Bhavnagar. I have seen one play YUGPURUSH: MAHATMA NA MAHATMA in gujarati. This play is written by UTTAM GADA & directed by RAJESH JOSHI. It's music given by SACHIN-JIGAR. This play premiered in Mumbai, india at November 2016. There is two main characters SHRIMAD RAJCHANDRAJI & MAHATMA GANDHI.

                                      This play is prodused by Shrimad  Rajchandra mission, Dharampur to celebrate his 150th Jayanti. It is also adapted in many other languages  including English and Hindi. It won the 16th Annual Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage Awards 2016. this play has completed 733 shows as of July 2017.
                                
                                      The subject of the play is  Spirituality & based on the relation between Jain philosopher Shrimad Rajchandra and Indian Indeoendence leader Mahatma gadhi. It is a biographical element of Mahatma Gandhi.

                                      The main character Shrimad rajchandra is Jain poet, philosopher, scholar, reformer & businessman. Gandhiji called him as "kavi". Yugprush highlights the values of love, selflessness, diversity, truth and community building trough this play.
 
                                      After watch this play, I felt that their friendship blossom a new era and light to the India. Shrimad raychandji the one who inherited principles of truth, ahimsa and dharma which were followed with fundamental tenets of Gandhism. he died at 33 age but he was onlu one companion of gandhiji.

                                                            

                                       I observe the techniques of the performing arts. There is so many efforts to handle the whole play. The play's duration was 3 hours and the whole team works very hard. The co-ordination of music, lights, dialogues and the all characters were working very hard. This was very good experience to learn how a play is performed with the unity.

                                    The title of the play is YUGPURUSH is very suitable, I felt that the man who is the reformer of the India. And his vital role touch our role. The all characters were performed very well. but specially shrimad and gandhiji's role touch my heart and felt me to think that a great man of india. The patriotic elements of the play is the main cause of my attachment to this play. As a indian citizen I m proud of these two MAHATMA GANDHI & MAHATMA NA MAHATMA SHRIMAD RAJCHANDRAJI. I will remember this play ever in my life.
